The missionary safari in Kenya gives you an opportunity to interact and impact local less fortunate people. You will do this by visiting a children’s or any other project of your choice. On this safari you will visit one of the children’s homes in Nairobi. Enjoy 2 nights with children with special needs at Kiriko special school or equivalent and later spice up your missionary safari in Africa with a day or 2 with a visit to some of the wildlife game viewing parks, Masai Mara and lake Nakuru national park. You will be spending your 10 days mission safari in a tented camp or standard safari lodge

Itinerary

Day 1:

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative, have a short briefing and then be transferred to your hotel/ guest house for your dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Nairobi

After breakfast, leave for an excursion in Nairobi doing activities such as feeding giraffes at Giraffe Center, Visit Nairobi National Museum, feeding orphaned elephants at David Shedrick and have lunch in a city restaurant (own budget). Diner and overnight at your hotel

Day 3: Nairobi

After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel and drive to children’s home where you will spend most of the day with the kid’s, have lunch with kids at the home followed by great interaction with them. In the evening, you be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:

Nairobi After breakfast you will be picked and drive to the kibra slum (or one of other city slums), the largest slum in Africa, you will visit different project and lean how the people in this slum live. You will later return to the hotel / guest house for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Nairobi -Thika/Nakuru

After breakfast you will drive to Thika/Nakuru to visit children with special needs project. You will spend a whole day with the children and later proceed back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Thika/Nakuru

After breakfast depart for children special school again and spend the most of the day with the kid’s later afternoon back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park for game drive. If you will be coming from Thika, you will arrive Nakuru in time for lunch and Later in the afternoon enjoy a game drive of Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its large concentration of birds, especially flamingos. If you will be from Nakuru, you have an morning game drive followed by visits to other attractions sites in Nakuru City such as Menengai Crater. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 8: Nakuru - Masai Mara

After breakfast drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Wildlife Reserve arriving in Masai mara in the time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Masai Mara is a land of breathtaking vistas, a panorama of rolling grassland, hills and groves of acacia woodland. Permanent residents of the Mara include black rhino, elephant, buffalo, topi, giraffe, and of course, the big cats: lion, cheetah and leopard. In addition, huge herds of zebra and wildebeest lead an endlessly nomadic life, crisscrossing from the Serengeti Plains of Tanzania to the Masai Mara of Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or Camp.

Day 9: Masai Mara

Morning and afternoon game drives having an option a full day game drive. On a full day game drive, you carry packed lunch so as to enjoy a bush picnic Lunch at the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or Safari Camp

Day 10: Masai Mara - Nairobi

After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving in late afternoon and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
